It isn't all bad! But is isn't great.

I have purchased 2 of these at different prices (beacuse I was misled by a seller that listed it as for a 17" laptop). You can use it with a 17" BUT you lose mousepad area and it will NOT hold it in an upright position at all. The legs break because of cheap plastic. If you use it just flat it does the job of cooling and providing a mousepad. I actually purchased a bed tray (for eating in bed) that was nice and sturdy and I pit this laptop tray on top of it for the height.
Pros: Cooling fan, level surface, mouse pad, folds for transport
Cons: cheap plastic parts break easily, doesn't have a lock to keep it from folding when in use, isn't meant for use with large laptops
I don't regret the purchase but I do wish it were a better quality product for the price.

LAPTOP BUDDY WITH COOLING FAN IS A VERY UNIQUE DESIGN, HOWEVER IT DID NOT FIT THE CHAIR THAT I USE EVERYDAY. I STILL THINK IT IS A GREAT PRODUCT, BUT DID NO WORK FOR ME. THE PRICE IS DEFINITELY RIGHT.
I WOULD RECOMMEND THAT YOU MEASURE THE AREA THAT YOU WILL BE USING THIS ITEM BEFORE PLACING AN ORDER.

Great product

My laptop would get very hot after just a few minutes of use, and it is an older laptop. I hoped that a fan would help, and this lap table worked great! I have yet to feel such heat come from the laptop since I got this. Thanks! I was grasping at straws! I have one for work and one for home.
