As described, the cooler is very silent. You almost cannot realize it's on. Good size, can be used even for a 17' laptop. Fan works well. My laptop used to heat so much that after a couple of minutes it would die. Thankfully, after I buy this cooler it doesn't happen anymore. I recommend it.

Like the other reviews said, the fan on this cooler is quiet and this cooler works well to cool the laptop. There are 2 reasons I am giving it two stars:
- The front of the cooler lifts up the laptop quite a bit which makes us have to lift our hands higher to type and makes it not very comfortable to use.
- I would like to use this laptop cooler on the bed, but the plastic on the bottom is not sturdy. With the laptop sitting on the cooler, the center part of the bottom would get pushed up when set on the mattress, which then touches the spinning fan creating unberable noise...
In short, this cooler serves its cooling purpose but I can only use this cooler on hard surface and the front lift-off distance creates some discomfort in usage... hence the 3 stars.
