Does what it says it will do

This is no glamor product, but it does do what it's meant to do. My laptop sits nicely on it, no sliding, no mess. When the fan is on high, it's a little noisy, but not seriously so. As for cooling, it doesn't solve any major problems, but probably keeps something nasty from developing.

Absolutely necessary for any laptop

Got this pad the day I finished my laptop's thermal repaste, and it keeps temps down.
Cleaning out your computer's fans, repasting the CPU/GPU, and using a cooling pad are absolutely necessary to extending the life of your computer. So long as I keep the pad on, temps rarely ever rise above their normal idle temperatures.

Excellent cooling pad. Large size, quality construction.

I almost did not get this cooling pad because one of the reviews said it has "cheap plastic parts". It does have a few plastic parts but they are not poor quality. I did turn the fans over so they are blowing the heat away from my laptop instead of blowing air to the laptop. I feel my laptop stays cooler that way. Just a personal choice though.
The fans are quiet and adjustable for speed as well as position.The aluminum pad stays very cool even without turning the fans on. I have had this pad for about a week now and it's working well. Shipping was fast and merchandise was carefully packaged. Pad is easily large enough for a 17" laptop to fit on. My 15" loves all the extra space! You will not be disappointed with this cooling pad at this low price.
I did not tell my husband about the two compartments/drawers in the back. I keep my flash drives in them so he can't "borrow" them anymore. ;)
