Decent cooler-Pictures decieving

I just received this today, thanks Amazon Prime.
The moveable fan concept is a very clever one. It works.
One note, the pictures in the Amazon listing lead you to believe that the laptop will be tilted up towards the back of the unit thus providing additional space between the fan and the bottom of the laptop. It really doesn't. The cooler does have an upward slant towards the back, however that is not what I was talking about. There is a rubber pad that adds perhaps .2mm lift.
The laptop in the picture has legs that elevate the back of the laptop.
I use a KVM switch, external keyboard, mouse and monitor so I was just looking for the cooling feature. If you are going to type on the laptops keyboard, this slope is important.
I also do not see using this cooler on your lap. It is definitely a desktop accessory.
It does keep the laptop cooler and that is why I bought it.
So far, so good.

It saved me hundreds of dollars!!!

I have an HP G72 computer that I was getting ready to donate to the garbage because, not only is it the noisiest computer I've ever owned, it would go thru a thermal shutdown daily.
I was told to try a cooling fan first so I finally bought the Igo Arctic Laptop cooling fan.
I was worried it would be too small for my 17" laptop but I was wrong. It actually raised the computer up and at a slight angle making it easier to use the computer. And the large rubber grips keep it from sliding around.
I was worried about the fan being too loud. After all, I already owned the noisiest computer on the planet. Again I was wrong. You barely hear it. And my computer noise? The difference is day and night. My computer now runs quietly without going into that "turbo drive" and I have not had a single thermal shutdown since buying it. This is my second one.
I was so happy with it that as soon as my parent's got their new computer I had to buy them their own Igo Arctic cooling fan. Oh and good job on making the fan position adjustable. I noticed that there is a significant difference in fan placement from one computer to another. With the adjustable fan I didn't have to worry.

i have had no problems with this fan at all it works great and being able to move the fan to the hotspot on my computer is great i would recommend this to anyone having overheating problems
